Kim's Initial Design Ideas

We decided as a group that everyone would develop some design ideas after which we would come together to discuss and further develop one or more of these ideas. These are Kim's initial design ideas. Kim based a few of her designs around sheep as the group decided that they would use sheep as a sort of mascot for the young children to associate with the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. The team chose sheep as they are abundant in the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Henry Moore one of the parks best known sculptors published a book filled entirely with sheep drawings and sketches.

Design Idea 1: A sheep design, this one somewhat abstract and quite modern. This design has the potential to be used on the sketchbooks, posters, T-shirts and lunch boxes or as a vinyl print. The cartoon like features of the sheep means it is aimed at the children in our target audience and the colour scheme can be changed as needed.
Design Idea 2: This design is once again aimed at the children in our target audience and could be used as a design for a lunchbox, poster or T-shirt. The text can be changed as needed.
Design Idea 3: This was designed for use on a T-shirt, poster or on the sketchbooks. Kim designed it to have a clean, sharp and modern feel. It utilizes one of the parks sculptures in the design and is more aimed towards the adults in our target audience.

Design Idea 4: This is Kim's design for a coffee cup clutch. This Henry Moore sculpture was used by Kim as she felt that it resembled a coffee bean and was therefore perfect for use on a coffee cup clutch. This is aimed toward the adults in the target audience.

Design Idea 5: This design idea is aimed at the children, more
particularly the girls in our target audience. Kim feels the cartoon appearance of the sheep as well as the love heart around it would appeal to young girls. This design can also be adapted to suit boys by the removal of the love heart and adding a different shape such a a blue triangle for example.
