Fiona's photos and first thoughts.

These first two images are from an exibition that can be found in the YSP's 'Art in the open air'. This one in particular is Henry Moore's 'Two Piece Reclining Figure'. I wouldn't imagine this sculpture having the same visual impact if it was placed indoors. The natural environment compliments its structure in a way that no man made setting could.

Whilst wondering in the huge fields to find this sculpture we did encounter mass amounts of sheep.

It wasnt untill choosing our target audience as children that the idea came to mind, and base the structure of this project around sheep.
Children tend to be hooked into a group or trend if there is something to assosicate it with. Linking this with the idea of friendship came the thought of childrens groups on package holidays, places like Butlins or Disney World.
Within these groups there usually is a designed character or figure that allows the child to assosicate the group with something. Like Mickey Mouse for Disney.
Thinking along these lines and linking it back to the YSP the idea for a sheep character and a childrens group were formed.
